 Paul James
Born in Birmingham, England in 1964, Paul had a strong interest in design from an early age.

Leaving school with qualifications in Design and technology and Art related subjects, he completed a Technical Engineering Apprenticeship and an Engineering Diploma.

This gave him the background he required to work as a Design and Manufacturing Engineer and over a number of years he designed a number of new and innovative products, some of which have been patented.

Paul was not content with designing products for his employer, with little reward, and had for some years had been developing a strong interest in Contemporary and Minimalist Furniture.

He questioned the conventional tubular frame construction used in most furniture design and looked toward the technology and materials he had been working with in modern manufacturing.

Combining laser profiling technology with a design that creates elegant clean lines and materials that reflect light, Paul designed the Laser Range of contemporary furniture.

Paul’s vision was a modern high tech and slightly industrial design that brings individuality into your home by challenging the conventional.

We feel this has been achieved beautifully, the result being innovative, design-led furniture at an affordable price.
