Cons None!
The Bottom Line Available in many colors, the OH chair makes a stylish and comfortable addition to any household.
Full Review My husband and I moved into our first house last October. Since we had previously occupied a one bedroom apartment, all of our furniture was tiny apartment-sized furniture. It wasn't nearly enough to fill up our new house!
When living in our apartment, my husband and I had a dining table and two chairs from a Swedish company we don't mention in polite company. It was actually pretty functional because the table-top swiveled around and folded out, going from seating two people to seating four people. We didn't use this feature much, but when we did we'd grab an odd assortment of folding chairs and outdoor chairs to cram around the table.
Now we were in this house with a whole bunch more space, meaning that our table would definitely get more folding-out action. I wanted to buy two additional chairs to place around the table that would match the set we already have, and also look good in our house. That is when I discovered the OH Chair.
The Umbra OH Chair is enough to make any retro-diva drool. Designed by Karim Rashid, it's curvy. It's funky. It comes in neon pink, black and white! It has silver metal legs... What is there not to love?
I ordered a pair of Umbra OH Chairs which arrived promptly - there was nothing to assemble.
First off, I must address the issue of comfort. Sure, the OH Chair appears to be funky and cool, but it also looks like it's made out of plastic. Hard plastic. And it is! But the design is incredibly clever: The OH Chair is contoured enough to offer superior support. The plastic flexes just enough with your body so you aren't contorted into a weird shape. And, since the hair is made of plastic, cleanup is easy. You can just wipe any spills right off!
And, since the chair is made of plastic, it is also extremely light and portable.
Not only that, but the OH Chair is "GRANDMA APPROVED". My Grandma, who is 73, has difficulty with sitting for long periods of time due to a bout of shingles she had a year ago. She couldn't believe how comfortable the OH CHAIR was to sit in. She proclaimed it the most comfortable chair in the entire house, even more comfortable than my sofa! She sat in it for about three hours while visiting one night. Ever since then, the OH Chair is her chair when she visits.
I personally think the best part of the OH Chair is the style. My home's personal style could be described as modern design with a Scandinavian influence. My husband and I like pieces that are clean and modern. The OH Chair in white matches this style flawlessly.
