The Barcelona Chair was created by Mies van der Rohe.
One of the most stylish and elegant pieces of modern furniture of the 20th Century and probably the most recognized piece of modern furniture around - a design icon that captures the "machine made" ethos of the Bauhaus school of design.
Originally designed to be used by the King and Queen of Spain on occasion of their official visit to the Barcelona World Exposition at the Deutscher Werkbund Pavilion in 1929.
The frames are made of suspension steel with fine craftsmanship to weld and finish the flawless joints. Upholstered in superb quality leather in black, white, Ivory or chocolate.
